Itinerary
Pick up from your hotel in Bangkok at 08:00 a.m. Transfer to Ayutthaya, World Heritage Site (recognized by UNESCO in year 1991) and ancient capital city of Thailand by private transport (drive about 1.5 hours). Begin your trip visiting Wat Yai Chai Mongkol, one of the top famous Buddhist temples in Ayutthaya.
Continue to Wat Mahathat, the ancient royal temple in the center of Ayutthaya Historical Park, where you can view the head of the ruined Buddha image inside the tree root. Transfer to the pier and enjoy your Private Boat tour around Ayutthaya Historical Park (about 1 hour). Have an optional Lunch at local restaurant.
Then visit the Ancient Palace and Wat Phra Sri Sanphet, the former royal chapel of Ayutthaya Kings since 1350 A.D. Visit Wiharn Phra Mongkol Bophit and enjoy your time visiting the local market where you also buy some local souvenirs and taste some local desserts like Roti Saimai before return to hotel in Bangkok, arrive around 16:30 p.m.
